For the first time you can get 10  of the most sought after speeches that have moved thousands to action and won Pat recognition around the world.  These speeches recall the angst and energy of the decade, and serve as reminders to become reacquainted with dreams deferred, to make good on promises un-kept.

These speeches are just as applicable to today, 2007, as they were during the decade they were delivered.

Included  on this historic CD:

If Not You Who?  If Not Now, When? This speech was entered into the Congressional Record of the United States of America by Hon. Louis Stokes (D-OH).  It reminds us that, In life, there is no opportunity to pass the buck, push the responsibility to the next person and make the decision that the call for action is for that mysterious, but, always absent, "somebody else".  Each person must engage in their own action plan for betterment.

Read the Overhead Signs. A reminder to look up and observe significant information that will serve as an invaluable guide as one approaches the social/systemic realities of today.  Failure to acquaint oneself with blatant realities do not serve us well as whether in homes, workplace or community.  The indicators are evident.  Read.

Bridges, Not Barriers. A must for those struggling with Diversity issues. In a multi-cultural society people need to discover the fact that understanding different races, genders, cultures, creeds, lifestyles, etc. is highly beneficial.  Long-established barriers to diversity, can be removed, with a collective effort to build bridges  to achieve the common good.

When the Brook Meets the River.  What would happen when all segments of our individual organizations, associations and groups worthwhile works were analogous to small streams of laudable acts met together in collaboration and/or partnership.  Those joint efforts would have greater impact and influence if there was an acceptance of the concept that working together really does work.

Hush!  Somebody is Calling My Name! Many people refuse to have their name associated with the clarion call for action, engagement or actual participation in making a positive difference.  Every person has talents, skills, abilities and expertise that can be used, if offered, to enrich, empower and enlighten others.  First, they must hear they name, and respond.

Leadership at Risk Attention must be given to the fact that leaders are not born, they are made.  Leaders develop the attributes of leadership by knowing what it is, and what it isn't.  Leadership is not personality, it is performance; it is not effort, it is results.  One generation must teach each following  generation how to lead.  If not, the cost is too high to pay.

No Deposit, No Return.  Life requires that you put  in quality  to receive that which  is qualitatively measurable--whether it relates to attitude, relationships, education, or employment.  There is simply no entitlement.  What is offered, if met, will return at the same level.  A hint to the wise, "Give your best--every time".

Sister, Are You My Sister, Sister?   Life's circumstances cause many women to question whether their "girlfriends" are genuine.  The disconnect comes with gossip, negative attitudes, relationships, and pure jealously.  Longtime best friends part ways over  "issues" that were real or possibly imagined.  There is merit in discovering the truth.

Wake Up Call!.  The alarm clock is sounding all across Black America, in particular.   As employment turns to unemployment; as the economic struggle to make one end meet the other end becomes increasingly difficult; and as our students fail to accept or perform to standards of excellence without excuses - there is a need to wake up, get up and get going.  Time does not wait.  There is no time to put the alarm clock on snooze.

Black America at the Fork of the Road.   There are choices and challenges that can  determine and greatly influence one's success or failure.  Black America has come to the place where they can, as a collective group, go one way or the other.  They can take charge of their own lives or be dependent upon those who position themselves as someone who has the answers.  The measurable difference will be found in the decision that is made--which way, at a time such as this?
